Some very good benefits your raise there, Herbert. I think Pagerank is often overlooked in favor of Search Engine Rankings and the number of backlinks without thinking about the quality of backlinks and what it does for our credibility.

Now I need to get bogged down and get my blog up from PR1.

Having a good pagerank certainly improves the visibility in the SERPs. But I don’t think that pagerank can be directly related to a site’s authority!

There are two things I love about having a high-PR blog: advertisers don’t pay peanuts and you can demand for more.

  15. August 15, 2012 at 1:52 am

Google PageRank is kind of important to bloggers who are active in paid posting and link exchanging as well. But it doesn’t reflect much in google SERP ranking.

  16. August 15, 2012 at 7:18 am

Honestly this is one of my goals for my blog. Your list is definitely true. Hope my blog’s PR will increase in next update. =)

  17. August 16, 2012 at 6:42 am

having high pr is important but it cannot help get better rankings in the search results. yes, but it can surely help in link exchange with other high pr relevant websites that can help to get traffic. thanks for this informative post.
